Hi Amy,
I'm the LDraw Help Desk Coordinator,
If you want an "all-in-one" installer I recommend you read and download this
file:
http://www.ozbricks.com/jediagh/a_ldraw/ldraw.htm
(Click on the installer link and note that this page is a mirror ldraw page)
MEGAPov does not play nice with POV-Ray 3.5 in was designed for POV-Ray
3.1g. I recommend that you install BOTH 3.5 and 3.1g. You can find 3.1g in
the installer above or at the ftp server of pov-ray located here:
ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Old-Versions/
look in the 3.1g folder.
Make sure you get MEGAPov .07 as 1.0 may or may not play well with other
ldraw applications. =)
Hope this helps you out and welcome to the community. Hope to see your
models and renders soon on www.brickshelf.com. If you have any more
questions feel free to email me.

| (...) Thanks, Ahui. I think installing 3.1 may solve my MEGAPov and LPub trouble. I'll give that a try. And if all else fails I'll start my entire system from scratch (it exists to do ldraw stuff, so that's not a problem), eliminating the (...) (22 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)
