Wher to find unspectactular sound effects?

I've found some websites and cds with spectacular sound effects, but to my coming Datsville animations, I want more everyday sounds. Anybody knows of a site with such preferably royalty-free sounds? * non-sport car sounds * mc driving in legal pace (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: EditStudio from PureMotion! (was: Adding sound to animations?)

Thanks James, No, the sound editor bundled to one of my older sound cards is perfect for mixing and adding some basic effects. My P2-450 is at the lower edge to run Pro Tools on. I was looking for a program that adds sound to animations. /Tore (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Inlining question

Not sure if this should be here or in .dev, so redirect as appropriate... If I've written a subpart that will be used several times in a single part, and if I want to inline that subpart, is there a way to do it without including the entirety of the (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: DATsville

I was never really into it myself, but as I understood it, everybody was waiting for me or Tore to make an animation utility. I am going to make my utility open source, but wanted to get it in better condition (right now I don't know if it works, at (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Questions on Stickers and Certification

(...) I think this is an important point. Subfiles are *very* useful tools for modeling parts, but we should use them with restraint. I will frequently model a part using multiple subfiles, but then I will inline all the code into a single file (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Questions on Stickers and Certification

(...) My take on this is that self-certification is a small perk for people who take the time to review *other* people's parts, and help newer authors along. (...) Generally, you should only certify parts that you actually possess. But if you find a (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [Parts Tracker] Recent Noise and New Search Tool

(...) Yes, there's a chance of that. Right now, the full codes (like on the cert page) aren't stored anywhere, they're rebuilt when the cert page is updated. And they're something of a pain to calc individually. Eventually, those codes will be (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: 2865.dat - 9V straight track re-release

(...) s\2865s04.dat still has a problem - there are quads that use color 383. These commands should be moved to either a new subfile, or added to s\2865s05.dat. (...) I've only got a few remarks about the file headers. :) Other than the 383 problem, (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

More on Stickers (was: Questions on Stickers and Certification)

(...) From reading that thread, it sounds like the only reasonably solution to both the bleed and seam gap problems is to author the parts and stickers together. Problems with stickers as separate parts: Nomenclature: - 6 digits for the sheet ID (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Apple Design Awards: Best Mac OS X Open Source Port

Hi all, Though many of the programers will likely see this, I thought I'd forward it here just in case. Since getting LDraw tools on the Mac is an unpaid (and underappreciated!) prospect, the idea of winning one of the prizes below might be a bit of (...)   Re: POV-ray question

(...) If I remember correctly, Bram Lambrecht posted a very good desciption about how he made instructions for the beetle model recently. I think it was cross posted to this group. What, in your opinion, are the advantages with using Anton Raves' (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Problem with Seam Width

I have what will hopefully be an easy question about changing the seam width. I used L3PAO to create a .pov file a few nights ago. When I change the #declare SW = 1; line in the .pov file, the seam width gets larger or smaller depending on what I (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Questions on Stickers and Certification

EditStudio from PureMotion! (was: Adding sound to animations?)

At last, I've found a very good tool called EditStudio from PureMotion. www.puremotion.com It has all features you can ask for and costs only £59 to unlock. Unfortunately, the program crasches while previewing with only two sounds mixed together, so (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Questions on Stickers and Certification

In some cases, like attached to rounded surfaces, I think the only way is to solve the problem is to create a part-with-sticker file. A sticker could be attached in many more or less creative ways, and I think the modeller should have the freedom to (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
