(...) Wow, you're right. That was a bad choice. Take a look at the color chart I posted in (URL), and see if there's anything you like there. Especially check colors 320 through 335 - these are all dithers with red. Color 320 (red+black) looks (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

| | Instructions for Mobile Message Decoder
|

I've just finished the largest set of instructions I've ever done. This is for the Mobile Message Decoder, one of my entries in the Blacktron contest. Half of the reason I'm posting is to ask for input on the style of the instructions. Check it out (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad, lugnet.publish.html)

(...) Hi Steve, A question for the top & bottom part: Must the top & bottom part be 100 percent accurate? I mean the sides that aren't visible when using it as an assembled piece? I have alreddy 2 parts, but they need some more work if they need to (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Hi Jacob, I Think you are 100 percent right. First of all, it wasn't LDRAW that crashed, but it was LEDIT. Sorry abouth that :-( I guess i found the problem causing LEDIT to crach. Perhaps this is alreddy known by other people, but it seems to (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Steve, That renders out in POV-Ray more like the "Sand Red" color to me (and appears more so in MLCad, too). James Wilson (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Great, I was mostly just testing the grounds. I wouldn't actually vote for a solution like this. (...) While this idea would unify many elements, I don't think it's a good one. I think the parts that go in the Round category should be more for just locating things that you would first think of as round, such as dishes and cones. For example, pieces like these (...) I would not first think of as round. Regarding your list, (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

| | Re: Proposal: New Parts Category for round parts

I've put together a list of possible candidates for the new Round category, and how I think they should sort out. I've included three groups of parts: 'Put in Round', 'Not Sure' and 'Probably Not', to match how I feel about them. I excluded parts I (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

After thorough research (I googled 'liftarm', and found mostly legofan sites), I've come to the conclusion that 'liftarm' was made up by somebody, and is only used to describe Lego elements. (...) IMPORTANT NOTE! If you install ldraw027.exe over top of your current ldraw installation, you will end up with some parts being replaced with *older* versions. To avoid this, save and run ldraw027.exe somewhere *other* than C:\.[1] Then copy (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

I just re-checked with a freshly downloaded 0.73 version. It worked fine (except part preview as said previously) on a Celeron 633, 192Mb Ram, Matrox G200 and Windows XP Professional "version 2002" US. How does it behave on your computer ? Philo (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)
