Hi Christian "Sweep and Taper" sounds like a weekend of frustration! :) But you are right and I think I will go for it with SNOT. It was useful to read both yours and Lindsay's comments! As for the tail. Yep, more red would be a good thing. I can (...) (20 years ago, 19-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: The Flying Wing

Hi Lindsay Thanks for your comments and ideas. I have tried building wings with SNOT before with reasonable success: (URL) I hadn't thought about SNOT when I was building "the wing" but I think it would allow for more tapering. Bit worried about the (...) (20 years ago, 19-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: The Flying Wing

(...) I was thinking about the tails. What about using this part: (URL) Christian (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: The Flying Wing

(...) Yes--the "straightness" was also my big concern. The plane in Temple of Doom does look like a very heavily modified Horten wing, so if you dig around on Luft46 you should be able to get the specific geometries in drawings. The Horten wings did (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: The Flying Wing

(...) It will tricky though. Sweep and taper is not easy to do. While you are at it, more red on the tails please. And those might need to extend further aft. That would also help soften the "straightness". Christian (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: The Flying Wing

(...) Hi Christian You are absolutely right. I think a little modification is needed. Thanks for your observation. I'll probably take more pictures after modififying the wing. Chris (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: The Flying Wing

(...) Excellent idea. As you write the best part is the rear gunner. I am looking forward to seing more pictures. However I think that the planform is too straight. The wings needs to be swept back and maybe more tapering. Christian (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Motorized Tank

Okay, after several failed attempts to increase the speed of the tracks, here's video of the tank in operation. It clocks in at 5MB so be sure you can handle the file: (URL) Video> Enjoy! Soren (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  The Flying Wing

After watching "Raiders" again for the umpteenth time, I made a quick sketch of the flying wing and then proceeded to build it (with Indy getting beaten up in the background). It was this plane that led me to the "prototypes" webpages and new ideas (...) (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Bryce Rollins on a roll!

As mentioned a few months ago, Bryce posted both an F-4 and F-105 harkening back to the Nam era fighter jets. Offline to him I had mentioned seeing a detachment of F-100s stationed at Missouri Air National Guard in St Louis. In no short order he had (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me Libelle

(...) Wow Chris, this is really great stuff! The Blohm und Voss is awesome, I've always wanted to do some MOCs of BV's assymetrical planes. The whole 'Lost Plane' hunters is a very cool idea also, good enough to be an official Adventurers subtheme, (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Messerschmitt Me Libelle

Hi everyone I would like to introduce the Messerschmitt Me Libelle. This is another prototype from the luftwaffe and I think it makes for a fun little MOC. I didn't spend much time on retracting gear - I was going more for the overall "playability" (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Tank Track

PITSCO Lego DACTA sells the wider tracks at $9.00 US for 36 links, and the smaller tracks at $9.00 for 105 links. That's just off the top of my head. Kind of expensive, but mint condition... Your call. Soren (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Tank Track

(...) Of course, the other possibility is PITSCO Lego DACTA (whose URL and so forth are, I think, in .market.shopping's sidebar). If you need a whole lot of them, you may get the price down to a quarter or less a tread link. Yeah, I know it's not (...) (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Generic APC

(URL) Click on image I built this APC several months ago but was too busy to photograph. It's a fairly simple design. I tried to mimic the Russian BTR series of APCs, which I'm so fond of.   Crimson Skies MOC: Lancaster Liberator

The RAF's new ground-attack aircraft. Enjoy! (URL) (Click the picture for folder) A little bit of inconsequential brickmodding made its way into this.   Several MOCs: Lighthouse, Tiny Tanks, and more

Hi all, I haven't posted a MOC in a while, so it's about time I did. First, a lighthouse: (URL) images are all 1600x1200, so could be a long wait) This was an extension of just playing around, trying to see how tight a circle I could make with just (...)
