I built this APC several months ago but was too busy to photograph. Its a
fairly simple design. I tried to mimic the Russian BTR series of APCs, which Im
so fond of. The BTR is one of the most practical APCs in operation around the
world. This is because it has been upgraded since the 60s, when APC were
actually personnel carriers, not AFVs (think the semi-tank US Bradley). The
vehicle also represents lessons learned from WWII by the Russians; it is highly
mobile and troops can even shoot their AK-series assault rifles out of ports
from inside. In a nutshell, the BTR series embodies the Soviet Deep Battle
Military Doctrine/Theory.
Okay, thats enough babbling from me. Enjoy the MOC.
