Thanks for your comments and ideas. I have tried building wings with SNOT
before with reasonable success:

I hadn't thought about SNOT when I was building "the wing" but I think it would
allow for more tapering. Bit worried about the weight though. However, "the
wing" is in three parts, body and two wings, so modifying the wings at this
point shouldn't be a problem.
I did wonder at the authenticity of the Lucasfilm plane and it is difficult to
find a site on the net that deals specifically with this particular plane. I
must confess I do not really know what it is I am building! ;)
Anyway, the weekend is approaching, and with a day off tomorrow anything could
happen.

The plane in Temple of Doom does look like a very heavily modified Horten wing, so if you dig around on Luft46 you should be able to get the specific geometries in drawings. The Horten wings did (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)
