Well, seeing as to how i built ONE mech in my LEGO career, i'm not sure how
valid my opinion of "the hardest part to build" is, but the most trouble
i've had with my ONE mech would be the joints.
I guess i'm spoiled by super poseable spiderman by toybiz or anything by
kaiyodo, so i'm really into articulation right now. and i've had to
troubleshoot along the way. ankles are a bit weak but i got great ball-joint
functionality without using technic balljoints. same as shoulders and hips.
Poseability was the driving force behind my mech. it started out as an
origami mech but because of the joints, it's now about 14 bricks high. I've
worked out a design for a ball jointed neck (tilts forward, back, left and
right and rotates 360 degrees) that i have to try and incorporate.
a close second would be: backpack and weapons. I can't for the life of me
build something that looks cool enough for my robot (scuse me, "mech") to carry.
