I seem to always follow the same steps while building a bipedal Mech;

Head
Hands
Arms
Shoulder to Chest
Chest to Abdomen
Abdomen to Back
Back to Pelvis
Pelvis and hip
Then....

Feet to Ankle
Ankle to Knee Joint
Knee Joint to Upper Leg

Then....
Pelvis and Hip to Upper Leg

Interesting... I suppose I usually build them from the point at which I have
an idea. For instance, if I have a good torso idea, I'll build that first
and then go from there. I'd say that the arms usually come last, however.

I agree with Mark here. I get an idea for say a good hand or head, so I
build that first. After that I tend to jump from part to part. Sometimes
I'll get a whole part in one try, more often not. If I'm not making any
headway on one area I'll play with another for a while. Still the mech
always starts with the initial area I've visualized first.
