I'm by no means as much of an expert as others that frequent this group, but
on the few first attempts at building anything but minimechs, I find that
the torso is hardest for me. I can build a set of arms; a set of legs; even
a head, that all look good together, but I can't seem to string em all
together with a good torso. With the minimechs, however, it varies from one
to the next, but it's probably whatever back-carriage I give them to
equalize weight so they stand up. Some other examples are the back
legs/back of the Gorilla, and the treads of the Payload (shameless plug for

| I completely agree with you Chris. For so long I've been pondering this question as well, and could not find an answer. Now I finally realize that for me it is the torse that is the hardest part of a mecha to build. Here are 3 reasons: 1) It is the (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

| Ah, I forget to add: no matter which part is hardest to build, the hardest (but most rewarding) part for me in mechbuilding-business is to do it at least once a week with a given original design, over and over again. Coming next week: the 100 ton (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
