I have almost the same problem in reverse. Once I've built a set using the
instructions, I have a really hard time taking it apart. It will stay
assembled for weeks before I can make myself tear it apart.
Also, I have an odd compulsion to position things _exactly_ the way they are
in the instructions. If a piece is at an angle, I put it at that same
angle.
We've got problems :-)
