not of the rack, right?

So why didn't they change the length of the links, instead of making
that small rack with ball joints? They could have reused the smaller
links in other sets, but that small rack never reappeared.

Anyway, if you had the 8858 or any other set that has the same steering
gear (8440, 8437, 8445?), you would notice that the setup is only
capable of very small steering angles, so the toe-in/toe-out probably
doesn't pose any significant problem.  This is why I dislike this
steering setup, BTW.

So the flex system is the way to go? Even though it is not a rigid
system?

(...) I dunno, I haven't got one. Moz should be able to answer that. I suspect that the weight of the body of the 8865 is a tad bit too large for this setup. I'm fearing that the front wheel axles will "twist", making the wheels stand out on the (...) (26 years ago, 27-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)
