Thanks Dave, Some of my smaller ships can be sleek or streamlined, but usually when I make capital ships, I like to make them rather cluttered, since they aren't necessarily made to look nice. Marvelous design, very evocative of the Sulaco from "Aliens" in that it looks built for practical use, not aesthetics. Very nice. Love the mini-ships. I picked up an adjustable 16' ladder that is made up of four sections. The angles of the four sections are adjustable so it can become a scaffold about 3' off the ground with an 8' top. I put a couple of planks on top to walk around on. I got it at (...) (24 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

This is a cool idea. I'm 30 (31 on Nov 17th) and married to Karla. We have 2 daughters (5 and 2 weeks) and a yellow lab. I live in Los Angeles, Ca. I made a movie once, with a Futuron guy flying on a spaceship over a classic space landscape -entirely in POV-ray. (The movie got lost when my HD crashed, so I can't show it to you.) Actually, meticulous building when you have too many pieces, is slow. Tonight I had to hunt for that baggie of dk.gray plates, and lost a bunch of time. I've never used dark gray but I got an itch for it. Then it was another lost baggie, really a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Thanks for the compliments. I tried to ensure that it is really possible to "mount" the parts in real life, but this does not mean that all the parts actually will interlock. Thanks Yes - There are things that really annoy me about CAD building (lack of pieces and not actually being able to touch anything), but it has a lot of advantages.
