Actually, meticulous building when you have too many pieces, is slow.
Tonight I had to hunt for that baggie of dk.gray plates, and lost a bunch of
time. I've never used dark gray but I got an itch for it. Then it was another
lost baggie, really a huge one misplaced somehow, about 250 "useless" round-end
bricks and I need 8. This is always happening. I must have more than 100,000
pieces mostly sorted, maybe 200,000 by now, and this happens in the midst of
plenty.
Long ago I could riffle through 6000 pieces on a cloth bag and know every bit
like a dragon's hoard. The equivalent today is to rummage through a closet
filled with trays to discover totally forgotten Lego.
