I just uploaded some images of my first mecha model. It is not like most of the mecha designs out there so i refer to it as a walker. Mark, To answer your questions: 1) Nope, they don't fall apart at the shoulders too easily. I have problems with the feet falling off sometimes, but I haven't found a really good way of getting full posability out of the ankles any other way (and (...) I have a tough time describing the parts I use, but I'll give it a whirl. I've found the best hip joints are the black technic peg hinges. Very Cool design!!! I liked the way the bomb chutes(sp?) are blended with the wings. It makes the ship more 3d, that is something that I am still working on with my models. of course, I like any model that can seperate into smaller units which you (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

I recently tore apart all my other stuff (X-wing, B-wing, most of my VO mechs), and I decided to try another mecha in the same vein as the Saidin. (...) Hi Rex, I have built many sky-scrapers. You can see them here: (URL) tend to use as much "glass" (windows) as possible. This saves on bricks and makes the structure much lighter. The light weight limits the amount of structural stress on the (...) (25 years ago, 22-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

As Shiri says, 6097 is the perfect choice for castle parts these days. It is cheap, easily available, and has a wide range of parts. It was on sale a while back at kbkids.com for only $25! The downside of this is that nearly every LUGNET'er has a (...) (25 years ago, 21-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Wow, These look even betterthan the earlier ones, although my fave is still the guy withthe sword. I'd buy em if they werein stores, not just because I like the idea of confederate troops, but there is an element of quality craftsmanship here. Those (...)
