I just uploaded some images of my first mecha model. It is not like most of the mecha designs out there so i refer to it as a walker. Mark, To answer your questions: 1) Nope, they don't fall apart at the shoulders too easily. I have problems with the feet falling off sometimes, but I haven't found a really good way of getting full posability out of the ankles any other way (and (...) Hi Dave, Your mecha are beautiful as always, but I have a couple of questions: 1) Doesn't the use of a single peg at the shoulder make your mecha difficult to pose? I have a tough time describing the parts I use, but I'll give it a whirl. I've found the best hip joints are the black technic peg hinges. As Shiri says, 6097 is the perfect choice for castle parts these days. It is cheap, easily available, and has a wide range of parts. It was on sale a while back at kbkids.com for only $25!
