(...) I tried making an LDraw file. I'll post it to lugnet.cad.dat. I got lost in two places: the very bottom, and the very top. Steve (27 years ago, 7-Apr-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars)

  Viper

Recently, the announcement of a new Battlestar Galactica movie has sparked an otherwise latent kernel of fandom in me, and apparently posting my microfig scale Battlestar earlier today wasn't enough to sate me. I came home from work and spent the (...) (27 years ago, 7-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Richard, "Nano-fig scale"? :-) I had an infestation of nano-figs once. I tried to swat them with my hand, but the devils entered my bloodstream and claimed squatter's rights in the glands in my brain responsible for my sense of priority. Or was that (...)   Motor 5011 identification and set itinerary

Can anyone tell me what the 5011 9v motor looks like? What set or sets contain this motor? There is another motor, numbered 5114, in the S@H catalog. Is there any similarity between the 5114 and the 5011? TIA. Billb. (27 years ago, 7-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Microfig Scale Millenium Falcon, Take Two.

After taking a hard look at the scale of my MF Falcon model and that web page that steve posted, I decided to take another shot at modeling the Falcon. I am very pleased with this version (posted to lugnet.cad.dat). It is truer to both the original (...) (27 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars)

Another idea, which I was implementing on my large station project when i packed it away <sniff> is to use technic pin/bricks to hold building sections together. While this wiggles when the surface abutting is small (c.f. Deep Freeze Defender and (...) (27 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  28 Piece, Super-Micro-Fig-Scale Star Destroyer

I have never been able to get to grips with LDraw, so will attempt to describe how it is built! The parts needed: 2x 3933 (left-handed, 65 degree, space wing plate). 2x 3934 (right-handed, 65 degree, space wing plate). 4x 3020 (2x4 plate) 7x 3023 (...)   Re: Town Style Building Question

Good question, I wrestle with that one myself. I usually build a roof on it, unless it is a flat roof building. If it is a flat roof, I might put one row of angled bricks to make it look feasible for a roof, kind of like a decoy. I always leave the (...) (27 years ago, 5-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Town Style Building Question

I am curious as to how most people build their buildings when constructing a town. My questions are pretty simple: 1) Do you build a complete building with four (or more sides) or do you leave the back open for access and viewing of the interior? 2) (...) (27 years ago, 5-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)
