Good question, I wrestle with that one myself. I usually build a roof on
it, unless it is a flat roof building. If it is a flat roof, I might put
one row of angled bricks to make it look feasible for a roof, kind of
like a decoy. I always leave the back undone simply because I destroy
any building without access somewhere (Removable tops are hard to
build). For multi-story buildings, I have a hard time with those simply
because TLG has never made a decent base outside of the ones you used to
be able to get from BASIC sets, I think it is 10X24-30?X3, if anyone
knows what I am talking about, let me know! :) It is hard to make an
accurate mini-fig scale multi-story buildings with floors, I do not know
about the other master builders out there. I would love to hear some
tips! I hope I have not rambled too much!

| I am curious as to how most people build their buildings when constructing a town. My questions are pretty simple: 1) Do you build a complete building with four (or more sides) or do you leave the back open for access and viewing of the interior? 2) (...) (26 years ago, 5-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)
