1)  Do you build a complete building with four (or more sides) or do you
leave the back open for access and viewing of the interior?

I'm really more into building vehicles than structures, but I've always liked
the idea of using 2x2/1x4 hinges to make a fully enclosed structure that can be
easily opened for interior access. The original yellow lego castle had this
feature, and I'm sure it's been used in many more recent sets.
