Wikipedia [Re: clarifying/reminding users of "the rules"]

(...) It's Wikipedia - feel free to add to the article ;) ROSCO (20 years ago, 30-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: clarifying/reminding users of "the rules" [Re: Help Wanted]

(...) Hm. An interesting Wikipedia entry there... I'm kinda disappointed that it's limited to a modern interpretation. Their "U.S. Examples" omit things I'd consider to be even more closely aligned with their initial definition. Namely: WPA posters (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

Re: clarifying/reminding users of "the rules" [Re: Help Wanted]

(...) Good point there. I was mainly thinking that perhaps the curators could be empowered to at least be able to make the first "friendly" reminder. Because of the need for consistent policy though, I would not want them to do anything more than (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Help Wanted

(...) Hi Chris, this will not happen. To make such cross-posts possible, it needs to be prepared on both sites, here at LUGNET and at the counterpart site. Such a co-operation is not possible automatically and it will never be. Somebody has to be (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

(...) Hi Joe, I doubt "PSA" means "Pakistan Scrabble Association", so for what stands it for? To be serious: I really don't know, there's a long list arising from searching (URL) ;-) Leg Godt! Rene (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

In lugnet.admin.suggestions, Suzanne Rich wrote: (snip) (...) I'm willing to help out on that. LUGNET needs a PSA in BrickJournal, and I am willing to put one in! Rene, you can send me a note offline or respond here on it. (...) Congrats! Joe Meno (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

clarifying/reminding users of "the rules" [Re: Help Wanted]

(...) Wow, I totally agree. Though not so much about the added Curator responsibility. I tried to keep that job fun (^_^); and I'd hate to see the individual groups become any more like mini-universes. I think I prefer the idea of having a site-wide (...)   Re: Help Wanted

(...) The ToU definitely need an update. They do not reflect several changes in policy, especially regarding market traffic (standing policy seems to discourage ANY market traffic outside the appropriate lugnet.market group, but the ToU only (...)   Re: Help Wanted

(...) SNIP (...) Hello, Rene, I've been watching with amazement at the alarming rate at how fast things are changing here. Most are for the good. Heck, all seem to be for the good. So, a thank you to you and your crew. but... About what you just (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Help Wanted

(...) I also found your photo with the sheet of paper with all the hand-written notes on it. There are very interesting ideas on it too. (...) That would be nice. First I could need one or two people helping with something I will announce later (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Help Wanted

I made this page in 2002: (URL) help might still be needed. What do people think? Are these needs worth pursuing? Would it be helpful to update the list and publicize it? Although I am no longer a LUGNET administrator, perhaps I could be of some (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I would just like to add my voice in here. This sounds like a great plan. Danny (20 years ago, 9-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I certainly agree that a LDD group is warranted as a younger generation seems to be gravitating towards its use. It might be worthwhile to create a Lego Factory group as well, for users to post MOCs that are for sale, etc. (20 years ago, 9-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I think this makes good sense too. Kevin (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I support this, both from a LDraw parts admin standpoint and also on behalf of the LDD developers with whom I have established contact. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) Sounds reasonable. I support the request. /Tore (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I second the request. with LDD supporting LDraw it is likely that we get more posts on LDD issues by afols and I'd rather see them in a fine seperate subgroup. w. LDraw.org Webmaster (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)
