Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Todd Lehman
(...) Two statements are shown below. One is true and one is false. (1) Lego Funds Lugnet (***FALSE***) (2) Brad Justus, on behalf of the LEGO Company, made a financial donation to LUGNET in April, 2000. (***TRUE***) There is an extremely big (...)         Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I'll say! The first one has their name incorrectly capitalized. :-) So it clearly MUST be wrong. <grins, ducks and runs> <circles back for one more gibe> But both are lacking in the TM or (R) thingies! See how you like THAT, LEGO(R)! More (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Scott Arthur
(...) So what did they _fund_ with their donation? Does the donation not indicate that they support the aims of Lugnet, and endorse it as an entity? Or do they have a record of giving donations to organisation whose aims they do not support? The (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Eric Joslin
(...) Why do you insist on being so dense? Many people, including myself, have explained the difference between funding and donating to a cause. Yes, *in spirit* Brad Justus and Lego Direct would seem to "support Lugnet". No, in a *financial sense*, (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Scott Arthur
(...) OK, I'm being dense. Educate me a little. What are you basing this on? How does "support Lugnet" mean they 100% pay for the show? It does not mean that to me. Scott A (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Christopher L. Weeks
FUT to l.o-t.d (...) I really take exception to your tone and wording. The fact is that you're wrong. Plainly. Painfully. And then you have the unmittigated gall to call someone else dense. I think it is you who simply don't get it. (...) Many? The (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Right! :-) I've been pretty sporadic but my latest eBates check came so another tiny dollop is coming. since I switched to the web I haven't had my siggy reminding people that if you sign up for eBates and use member ID lar 1/2 of my income (...)          Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Eric Joslin
(...) Nope, you were right on target. I was wrong. I let a particularly frustrating day at work mix with a bunch of other stuff and went off. I pretty much regretted it shortly after sending it, but c'est la vie. eric (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Christopher L. Weeks
(...) Oh...OK. Sorry about that. I guess I got my hackles up. When I've regretted sending a note, I just cancel it. I like being able to do that even if it's only been used a couple of times. Chris (feeling disarmed :-) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Eric Joslin
(...) Not undeservedly. (...) I considered asking Todd to cancel it, but decided to let it stand as a form of mortification to remind me not to do it again. Besides, now people have replied to it, etc. eric (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —James Brown
(...) Out of curiosity, how much sign-up traffic do you estimate your sig pulled/pulls in? I'm curious, because mine has generated squat. I'm curious as to why exactly - whether it's that people generally ignore .sigs, or that alladvantage's sign-up (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Larry Pieniazek
(...) not that much. Maybe 40 bucks total for Lugnet and the same for me. PayPal and X on the other hand generated more than 300 USD in referrals to me and as much back to the joiners (since I split 50 50 there). I can't speak for anyone else but (...)       (...) May not work for you, which I can understand since you seem to do a lot of your surfing on a laptop, but it works fine for me. On my 21" monitor I barely notice the ads and they certainly don't interfere with my surfing. We make enough each (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Christopher L. Weeks
(...) Maybe because your sig doesn't include your member code? I've spent the last twenty minutes trying to figure out how to sign up and credit you. Only after seeing someone else's sig with a three-letter&three number code to input have I figured (...) (25 years ago, 20-May-00, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —James Brown
(...) I (...) Nope. I didn't include my member code, but I'll happily give it to anyone who e-mails me and asks for it. This appears to be a mistake on my part, but I wanted to know how much sign-up traffic my Lugnet sig was generating, so I could (...) (25 years ago, 23-May-00, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine —Richard Franks
