Re: Interesting bit of news/mail gateway trivia..

(...) Bummer, I was afraid this might happen someday. Not only did the mailserver dishonor the Errors-To header, it looks like it also deleted it when it bounced a copy of the message it back to you! :=( On all outgoing news-by-mail messages, the (...)   Re: lugnet.* discussion groups by mail

(...) Hmm, this problem must come up all the time with mailing list technology and the abundance of list exploders. I wonder how this scenario differs from the reverse situation, where a mailing list would have to reject posts coming from people (...) (26 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.admin.general)

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering if anyone else besides me reads these? And, if so, is there a way to mark a change in the numbers?   Re: News-by-Mail digests

(...) I'd much prefer them on a per-group basis, even if it means some duplicates across several Digests. (...) I know of no client at all that can handle Digests in the way you want.   Re: News-by-Mail digests

(...) That sounds like a reasonably good idea. I think most digest-ers are more read-oriented than write-oriented, so making it slightly harder to reply shouldn't be that big of a deal. I think. Steve (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
