  Re: De Bouwsteen club

(...) That's exactly how I see it, too, except for one thing: it's that "at least until" part that makes me really nervous. What happens when there -are- dozens of clubs around? This could be as soon as 6 months from now. Do we delete or move groups (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Posting Twice!!!

(...) Hmm, it's possible, but that still shouldn't result in the server giving a 500-error. (In a perfect world, a webserver should never give a 500-error, no matter what the input.) BTW, your message (the one I'm replying to) seems to have come (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Yeah, I'm annoyed by it too. I quick glanced over my program's (Eudora Pro 4.2) options and couldn't see anything connected to the problem with my replies to the group. That's why I'm including your personal email address in this message, and (...) (25 years ago, 14-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Jonathan Wilson's posting privileges on LUGNET

(...) I have also found the sig issue confusing. I used to use one, but the people i send e-mail to all the time got sick of it very quickly, as did I. And, I am too lazy to change it all the time. Besides, long rambling sigs are more of an (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Hurting another's feelings isn't the issue (though it happens), and it never should be when there are things to be gained by both sides in a (...) (...) point releases generally don't add much functionality. I'm running 4.04 and easily generate the below, so certainly 4.03 has the capability as well, when used to do news or mail. So maybe there's another reason? But like I said, sigs are small (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Mentors (was: Re: Jonathan Wilson's posting privileges on LUGNET)

(...) Yes. The web being as universal as it is today, it doesn't bother me much that the volunteer moderators have to do their tasks via a web interface you provide. That's the only minus really. On the (minor) plus side is the fact that you don't (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

I agree with Larry P. on the signature issue - it IS nice to have, but I'm not sure it's super-useful, at least when using the web interface to read LUGNET. I ususally don't put a full signature on messages... just my name and sometimes a comment. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
