  Re: RTL query

(...) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I suspect RTL is more of a "wasteland" now than it ever was, at least in my view, based on my (and I suspect a lot of other people's views as well). (I say suspect because I haven't carried out an (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Intermittent Outage Notification: Lugnet Server Move

All, if you are reading this, you will have made it to the new Lugnet server. We are not quite there yet, but things are working reasonably well, therefore I am keeping this machine online and will be fixing stuff as we move along. Posting via the (...)   Re: Giving bad trader info (Re: Bad Trader Alert!)

(...) Hmm... I guess I just don't see it as a generally good practice. I'm actually not sure if there are any specific laws against it, but I also wouldn't be suprised to find out that there are-- after all, there are laws governing businesses that (...)   Re: May-June 2000 Mania Magazine

(...) Yup. Sometimes there is a lot to be said for getting things exactly perfect by a horde of tiny changes and limited trials, but "better is the enemy of good enough" and even in the hobby game there is such a thing as first mover advantage. (as are many of us I am sure (1) ) I suspect she overlooked the para you cited rather than endorsed it per se. I think your (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.terms)

On Thu, 17 Feb 2000, Lorbaat (<Fq3IoE.53M@lugnet.com>) wrote at 22:33:50 (...) Perhaps there isn't one.   Data Base Updates

Ok, as threatened, here we go... Since I've been collecting these for a while, some of them may already be taken care of, I'll try and re-check as I go.   Re: Official vs. unofficial LEGO postings

I'm weighing in here on Frank's post because I think he's onto some good ideas. I think Todd is on to some good ideas, too, and here's why I think so. The beauty of .lego.direct is that it is a place where we *know* TLC (LD) is listening. (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: A few ideas

(...) No, advertising has proven to be a very poor way of earning money. Just look at all the web sites with an advertising business model that died in the last year.   Change in handling of real names on LUGNET web pages?

Hi all, recently we receive quite a number of requests from individual users to have their real names and/or profile pages removed from search engine result pages.   Re: Peeron Guidelines

(...) I'd like to echo the above sentiments. Most of us are unlikely to find MISB sets from 1980, but it would still be nice to have an inventory. . .and know that the inventory was not as reliable as one from an MISB set.
