  Re: US S@H Phone Specials 1/11/99 - 1/17/99

(...) Very true, there's nothing inherent which precudes the use of a more descriptive name, if possible (all things considered). (...) Hrm. Just saying "shop-at-home" is likelye to be misleading for anyone who doesn't know what LEGO Shop At Home (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jan-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Matt, does this mean that you (a) don't currently get lugnet.announce via e-mail, or (b) feel that the S@H specials don't belong in the .announce group, or (c) would like to receive announcements of S@H specials via e-mail but not other types (...)   Re: Proper place to post US S@H Phone Specials

(...) I've always thought that a retailer sells directly to Joe Gritz even if they slap on the word "wholesale", the meaning of which has been slightly widened these days. I do not consider CostCo to be strictly a wholesaler. In cases like that, (...) (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) "I been tinkin'" about this a lot tonight and want to get it resolved real quick so Mike has a place to post tomorrow morning...   Changing email address that you are configured to post under?

Thanks to Comcast's purchase of AT&T Broadband my email address has changed from @attbi.com to @comcast.net.   It is time to ban JAL.

Re: Posting (via slrn) w/out confirmation webpage?

(...) You should be able to authenticate by replying to an authentication e-mail that LUGNET sends you, obviating any need for a Web browser. I have no idea what to do (or even how to post) if LUGNET isn't sending that e-mail. HTH, (21 years ago, 17-Jul-03, to lugnet.admin.nntp)
