  Re: Derek Nold - noldd@adsmachinery.com

(...) Strictly speaking, NNTP servers don't send email. It's possible you're receiving e-mail from the SMTP server gatewayed with the NNTP server. (...) Hmm, I don't see any email addresses at 'adsmachinery.com' or anything matching 'nold' (...) (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

I hope this is the right forum for technical issues. Anyway, I finally have posting privlidges through NNTP, but only on one computer. I think that this guy is mining the lugnet.shopping posts as usually I don't post in it, but yesterday I did and I got this e-mail too. Someone's at it again with SPAM. This time it was definitely culled from Lugnet, I got two messages with subject lines Re:xxxx which are both threads I have posted in.   Re: Roll Call Time?

(...) For the web-interface, the idea (URL) has been reguritated several times. It is too easy to cross-post with the web interface as the extra groups don't stand out and are commonly hidden by the width of the 'Newsgroups:' box. If around 50% of (...)
