Re: WARNING: spam from Helge Viker

(...) He's not a rude guy. I have bought some Lego from him in the past and the deal went very well. He's giving a real offer and I'm keeping his mail in case there's something I want. If you don't trust his offer and are not interested, then (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: New feature for messages?

(...) It works better because there's only one server, which honors canceling. But on the other hand, with that many people reading LUGNET off the mail interface, I'd say canceling works _worse_ than on USENET. You can't cancel a message which has (...)   Re: New newsgroup lugnet.admin.finance

(...) Indeed, I've heard that point before. Perhaps Suz and Todd should delegate a position of (NF) “Newbie-Facilitator” to an active individual in the community who can not only follow up upon newly acquired members and their welcome packages but (...)   Re: Server Hiccup?

Folks, I need to apologize, we are preparing a new server for lugnet.com and somehow today's transfer of data seems to have spawned a number of news-to-mail forwards for you subscribers out there. This was not intended and should not happen again. (...) (18 years ago, 1-Jun-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.nntp)

New newsgroups for LEGO Technic Slizer/ThrowBots, RoboRiders, and Bionicle

Three new subgroups of lugnet.technic have just been created -- one for each of Slizer (a.k.a. ThrowBots), RoboRiders, and Bionicle. So, I understand that: You _do_ use Lugnet news groups, but you subscribe to the mail list because you are more interested in the robotics group (higher priority) and you would rather it came to you through email.   New newsgroup lugnet.admin.nntp

A new group/list for NNTP[1]-related issues has just been created.   Help with slow nntp response
