It works better because there's only one server, which honors canceling.
But on the other hand, with that many people reading LUGNET off the mail
interface, I'd say canceling works _worse_ than on USENET. You can't
cancel a message which has already been sent out to the subscribers by mail.
BTW, while talking about NNTP servers: I gave up trying to read directly
off the LUGNET NNTP server with Gnus, and so converted to Leafnode. Now
I use Leafnode to actually grab the articles off the server and upload
the articles I post, while I use Gnus as the user interface to Leafnode.
So far it appears to work fine.
