Indeed, I've heard that point before.
Perhaps Suz and Todd should delegate a position
of (NF) “Newbie-Facilitator” to an active individual in
the community who can not only follow up upon newly
acquired members and their welcome packages but send a
personal e-mail welcoming them to the group and answering
their question. Both through private e-mail and as head of the
people.newbie newsgroup.
T’would be great for the newcomers!
I know that the old-man @ Wal-Mart always makes
me feel peachy when I enter into the store! Why shouldn’t
we have a few permanent Lugnet staff members or regulars
who decisively go out of their way to facilitate newbies.
(wasn’t this done before?)
