Re: SSClagorpion - Let the fun resume

Well, I've finished moving into my new place. One more roadblock to LEGO building removed. I had to unsort all my LEGO a few weeks ago. The sort has started. So far I've got detailed sort of technic axles, gears, connectors, pulleys, electrical, (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Very nice. While I personally would have used plates/slopes in such an endeavor, I will say that using strictly bricks still looks VERY nice, I certainly can't fault the final product. I was in my Dark Ages during my wedding, and it was an EXTREMELY (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

  Zoo area for GATS

Hi all, I would like to pass on some ideas that I had for the Zoo in the upcoming GATS layout. So far Leah and Brian Alano have said that they'd help with the zoo, but anyone is welcome to make stuff for it. The zoo is right next to the Theme Park, (...) (...) In fact I studied the Knight-Gigant pretty closely while I was building this. I love the look of it, but when you look closely there's a lot of single stud connections in there. It must be as fragile as all get-out. But yes, I was aiming to (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

A Non-Griping Letter With Gasp! Praise for Lego!

I visit Lugnet every day to see what people are saying about my favorite hobby, and it seems to me that just about every other post is a gripe about Lego... whether it be about the new colours or the new sets... Well, I thought maybe for once a (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego) !!

  1000-Steine Land Berlin 2004

Hi folks, I've seen some of the pictures from the latest 1000-Steine Land in Berlin. I have to say : waaa...aaaw, amazing buildings, especially the station and the cathedral. Anyone who can tell me how many pieces there went into this cathedral? I (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.de)

(...) Among those that I own, the best ones from 2003 would be the "model team" sets. [LEGOSet 4403] [LEGOSet 4404] for black technic bricks, and [LEGOSet 7470] for black and white technic bricks. The inventor sets also come with some traditional (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Yeah, it does clear up a few questions...though the description of part #17 looks a bit mixed up. As I said earlier, the part you based it on is 2x2x1, not 2x2x2, and you listed it as being "without center stud", when you showed it without the (...) Is it any wonder where we got the shape for the modern valentine heart? (URL) I created an identical Swan using all the left over white bricks I had. It wasn't a pretty build, let me tell you. Hi all, at the 1000steine-Land last weekend in Berlin I was happy to show my latest addition to Venice. Hi, Just got set 5356, the medium sized Quatro bucket. And it's correct, the bricks are made of softer plastic (and they look VERY MUCH like MB's pre-school bricks!).
