Here’s a MOC I made to attend the reception at my wedding at the end of the month. Christina and I are both rather pleased with it.

Thanks Lar!

Most of the doubters are on Christina’s side of the family, or aren’t coming (or both). Pity, though.

My parents were converts to the whole LEGO idea when I built the black dragon, but then again my parents have always been pretty cool people, even if they are a little square (perhaps that helped with the LEGO idea? ;) I met Christina as I was just becoming an AFOL, so she fell in love with a brick-o-phile at the get go.

Let me know what you think!

Hey, I like it a lot. I agree with your choice to emphasise the LEGO-nature by making it all out of bricks.

Is it made with tan bricks or is that an artifact of the lighting?

As for the ring boxes, I note they’re nice and angular too. But to REALLY fit in, you should have gotten square ones with sharp corners!

The Swan is white with a yellow beak, but unfortunately I took the pictures in REALLY poor lighting. I’ll be sure to take some pictures of it after an arrangment is placed in it in better light. I really want to make a second swan to go along side this one, but unfortunately I’ve only less than half of what I started with. I may be able to scrounge around for more white somewhere, but unless I either choose a different color or send off for more bricks with money I don’t have, we’ll have to settle for just one swan.

It may not be the only LEGO MOC there, though. My mother is really pushing Christina to include the last LEGO creation I gave her in the reception, and Christina is really pushing hard not to.

The ring boxes were our only choice, but I agree, square ones would have been great. Apparently Zales has this thing about their boxes looking like their diamond.

Anyway, thanks for the reply! I’m glad you liked what I was able to come up with.
