Clearances (was Re: Jasper's Auction: First update. 4558, town, and Futuron.

(...) This is optional, of course. People who choose not to use this system are welcome to make whatever arrangements they wish directly with Jasper. But if you live in the US, the UK, NO, NZ, Germany or Australia, I can clear your payment for you, (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Actually, in the MR hobby, dry transfer lettering is used a lot as well if there are no ready made decals available. Sounds like Robin is talking about (...)   Re: POV camera positioning [was Re: 1x1 and 2x2 chess sets]

(...) I'd argue that this is more consistent than allowing a post to some, but not all, of the groups that you intended the post to go to. But if I did make that argument, would I be against allowing cross posting to RTL when it's hosted here? I'm (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Great idea John. Minneapolis is a sea of construction cranes right now, and I have been watching them work once in a while. There are several brands of cranes that do exactly this, they move counterweights in and out in syncronization with (...) (26 years ago, 3-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Is March LEGOFEST kaput?

I'll be in Carlsbad from the afternoon of the 19th on, and would love to fest or just meet with anyone there. We're staying at the Grand Pacific Palisades resort which is right across from LegoLand, supposedly. What, if anything is still going on? (...)   Which airport is best?... an RTL Repost

(...) Most but not all. I'm a purist and I don't agree. Your call, of course, but I'd rather see off-brand reviews allowed and I'm glad we're having this debate. I just don't see it as a big issue, really. Supressing the reviews is not going to make (...) (26 years ago, 3-Mar-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: economics of set 3225

It's not a caboose. A caboose has a cupola or a bay window, or at least, a work area for the conductor. It's not a pullman. A pullman has beds, washrooms, a porter's office, etc. It's a coach. It's really pretty simple to remember coach, I think. (...) (26 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)
