Re: The name/purpose of the QOTD group

(...) OK, OK, I'm over analysing (1) here, but... What I meant was that my append seemed to have sunk without a trace. I of COURSE always expect that everyone immediately applauds my ideas as brilliant, terrifically on topic, and well timed(2)(3), (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: The name/purpose of the QOTD group

Kill QOTD, I don't care, it's the easiest solution. It's not a high value add group anyway. But I do think we need to explore the mechanics and technology of moderation as a community experiment. Moderation (or review of information) will appear (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: to Minifig or not to Minifig ? (was: Star Wars fixes)

(...) I agree it's gray. but to me a minifig has to have the torso capable of accepting legs (per the def'n posted), minifig hands, and a minifig head. I agree that some of the older space fig robots aren't yellow headed, nor is Darth. But I'd call (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

(...) No, you're reading it too fast because I wrote it too fast... (...) Capable, HAS, HAS. Jar Jar doesn't HAVE the minifig head, he's only capable of having it. The HASes were implied. (25 years ago, 8-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 30% off sale on selected LEGO at eToys

(...) ebates.com is a new service which claims to give rebates on purchases, including a 25% rebate on etoys purchases. I joined. I have no idea if it works or not but I thought it was worth a shot. I've been thinking it over, and I think Lugnet is important. If eBates statements let me detect it, and Todd will accept it, I'll give half the revenue I get from others naming me as their referral to Lugnet. Afer all, it would be due to Lugnet that (...)
