Re: "2001: A Lego Odyssey" - A New Lego Movie!

Hey Joe, Although my camera also has a "green screen" option, I didn't use it for the movies (so I can't judge whether or not your camera sucks :). I used the green screen option provided by Final Cut Pro, a high-end ($1000) movie editing package (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: "2001: A Lego Odyssey" - A New Lego Movie!

I used a Sony MiniDV digital camcorder with a firewire connection to a Mac (Powerbook G3 400 Mhz), iMovie 2 to capture frames, Final Cut Pro to edit the movie (Final Cut Pro can't capture directly from the camera - how annoying!), and Photoshop to (...) Hello, I have 75 Dark Gray Solid Visor Helmets for sale, like the ones found in the Old sets before the flip visor style. They are in excellent condition. I am asking $4 each helmet. To Tim and all the others who responded: Thank you so much for your praise! As we all know, half the fun (at least) of creating something is showing it to people who will appreciate it. So keep those comments coming! And Tim, I strongly encourage (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.animation)

  Re: SFX: Flying LEGO?

Hi Jeff! I know of five ways to fake flying: 1. Attach model with string - digitally edit out supports later (as you say, very time consuming) 2. Film model in such a way that the supports are hidden from camera view. In my movie, "2001: A Lego (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.publish.photography)

  "2001: A Lego Odyssey" - A New Lego Movie!

Hi all, It is my very great pleasure to announce that my newest movie, "2001: A Lego Odyssey" is now playing at a website near you! It's been a labor of love, and one of the reasons I got a digital camcorder in the first place. Of course it's a (...)   Re: Titanium PowerBook

Oops. I looked closely at my experiment with Marc Atkin's movie, "2001: A Lego Odyssey". It's not so easy to compress. The Sorenson 2 video codec does ruin the quality. Maybe it would improve with the professional package -- the basic codec suffers (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  An idea...

Hello everybody (...) My stl2dat converter handles the edgelines and conditional edgelines. The conditional edgelines are created between two facets when the angle between these two facets is below a given value. This value can be set. If the angle (...) (...) Chris, The quick answer is that the list software you're using is called "ezmlm" (URL).
