  Re: Color Names

(...) All I mean by "own" (and the reason I keep using quotes) is that someone/some group is driving the process. And as I, and I believe Steve and Tim mentioned, the point I was making wasn't that anyone is told what to do, but that there is input (...)   Re: Helfire - a microfig scale castle town

(...) Thanks! (...) Hmm... when I started, the only things I decided for sure were: a. my inn had to be part of it b. the whole town had to fit on an island baseplate I had no idea how many buildings will be there whatsoever - just that there will (...)   Re: Newsbits: CA Recall and IMF-Argentina Negotiations

(...) But Bush *has* engaged in Lay-favorable cronyism and protectionism, as Bruce has already ably discussed. That (presumably) separates Bush-the-potential-cronyist from Carl-the-potential-rapist.   Re: Received 9V old dark grey track from online PAB

(...) I just visited the PaB online and ordered some track. I went to the PaB and searched by color: 'grey'. It listed 10 items in the 'grey family'. Ten items was too few so I told it to show me 500. Buried in the list was 'curved rail 22.5 (...) (18 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains)

The Super Toa: Five Toa MOC's (and a dog)

I have posted pictures of my five "Super Toa" original creations. These Toa are greatly enhanced versions of the sets released by Lego. The main link is here: (URL) what the thumbnails show, the underlying images are quite sharp, and if you want to (...)   LDraw.org Standards Committee (LSC) Draft Proposal

As Orion posted earlier today, let's revisit the LDraw.org standards body idea. [1] Here is the draft proposal I mentioned earlier today on LUGNET. I'm posting it here for everyone to discuss.   Re: The Brick Testament: Gibeonites Enslaved, Amorites Massacred

Hey Brendan, Great as always. Gibeonites enslaved: I like the gray color scheme you used. Why no gray hoods? Do you not have any of the newer Harry Potter sets, or is this an anti-bley sentiment? I didn't even reallize they made the dark bread. I'll (...) (20 years ago, 21-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Fallingwater  [DAT]

Here's the model I made of Fran Lloyd Wright's Fallinwater (selectively compressed of course). In real life, I built the model on two baseplates, a 48 x 48 on the bottom, and then a 32x32 with some small baseplates about 6 bricks up. I also built a (...) Segal is so unbelievably awful that the best thing you can say about him is that Under Seige didn't suck quite as bad as his other films, but Segal (...) I good place to start when looking for a "one of item" is Lego Shop at Home.   Re: Harry Potter Lego Line

(...) The Harry Potter books are children's books (aimed at, I think, around 11 or 12 year olds) about a boy who discovers he's a wizard. Seems his Mum and Dad were, so he is too. He gets invited to attend Hogwart's Academy, the most prestigious (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)
