  Re: Rotating a part?

This seems designed to rotate points given an angle and a rotation axis. I'm trying to determine what angle(s) to use given a line between two points. Also, I'm not a programmer, so I'm basically stuck with formulas I can use in a spreadsheet. (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Lego Direct (was Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!)

I don't begrudge anyone finding a good deal. But it would bother me to think that some few of us are favored by TLC because of their purchasing power. This is why I have and will continue to favor a Lego Direct arrangement in which TLC, or perhaps a (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !!

Re: Proposal of Inter-Starship News Service

(...) I like the general idea here, and I think something that just allows simple message posts is fine. A few ideas to add to the list: 1. Perhaps posting should require a password so that only official reporters (i.e. SMs) can post news messages (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jan-04, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  NC people

Hi I have a general idea of the NC people (however, a rollcall of sorts would be nice...) from seeing the posts in this newsgroup and looking up websites f/memberpages.   Re: How do a build a mountain?

(...) A recent eBay auction (yeah, I know, but it's still less than aucZILLA on some items) for 18 BURPs (given, the seller called them "RARE! BURPs") closed at $45.00. I have however been finding them en masse in Divers sets and Wild West Indian (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

Well, in his defense, he was right.....sort of... How often do you see spam in a newsgroup? And how often do you follow a link in a spam to check it out? I sure as heck don't. The ONLY reason I followed it to check it out was because Suzanne posted (...) (26 years ago, 16-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Variations on the "ADDER SUBTRACTOR" ("differtrans" ?)

(...) Note that my fathers design (the 2nd one on the page) also allows you to get rid of having the offset gear on a 2nd level, but you would have to use two 16t gears and a 8t pinion. We were trying to reduce the usage of the pinion gears because (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Great stuff John! A couple of thoughts as feedback: 1) How does G-scale, 1:29 compare to the size of grack LEGO uses in LEGOland? 2) How many pieces are in your Caboose? The boxcar? 500 or so? How would this be for a fantasy dream: Lego releases a (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-00, to lugnet.trains)

Hi all, I don't remember his name (shame on me!), but a guy at the last meet had some nice cut-away multi-story buildings. His table was in the back, and he also wanted red windows.
