  Re: HB pins ?

(...) Each sensor "connector" is a column of pins in the following format, where "X" denotes a pin position: X X X So, if you look at the lower edge of the HB, you have 16 positions in a bank of 9 and 7: XXX...XXX XXXXXXX XXX...XXX XXXXXXX XXX...XXX (...)   6500 Sonar and HandyBoard

Kent, I read your quick explaination of how to connect the Polaroid 6500 sonar board to the HandyBoard, and I have a couple of questions.... Mainly, you mention that the INIT signal plugs into pin 9 of the second motor driver chip socket, and that (...) (27 years ago, 20-May-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: LCD & serial connection

It is possible you have a bum 6811. I have seen 6811's with bad output address lines. this causes mirroring in the RAM as what should be multiple locations get mapped to the same byte in memory. The downloader thinks things are working because each (...) (27 years ago, 24-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Motors: Please help! Going out of my mind...

Please somebody help! Actually it's not quite that bad, but I've been searching and hunting trying to find some motors to use for a new robot base.   Re: motor power problems

in short, the answer is: "you can't use 3 to 4v motors with the Handy Board." basically, these motors are cheap toy motors that are incredibly noisy from an electrical standpoint, plus they want to draw far more current than the Handy Board's motor (...)   Technical support is up to all of us now

Dear Handy Board Users, I am starting to get hit with e-mail from individuals who are having trouble with their Handy Boards.
