  Re: Readings

yes, memory wires should be oscillating, back and forth betw 0 and 5 volts. this is not floating; floating implies not connected. re: your other DL probs, usually, it is a bad connection on the PCB. try continuity checks on the memory subsystem.   new version of 6811 Downloader for Mac

Hi all, The 6811 Downloader program was starting to be flaky under System 8, so I fixed an odd serial bug. More like a work-around, actually. Anyway, if you use this program, and it is starting to flake out on you, download the new version. It's at (...) (27 years ago, 6-Dec-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Connecting a second sonar module

(...) Sure, there's no reason you could set it up to use PD4, PD5, and TIC3 for a 2nd sonar. you might be able to get away with some signal multiplexing, assuming you're only firing one sonar at a time. i could see the BINH being no problem.   Re: Update on the expansion board.

Hi. The beta testers are still discovering issues, so I'm not ready to release the design just yet. I'm particularly waiting for results of multi-servo testing. But, it appears that the basic design is sound, and only minor rework (if any) will be (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jul-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) any normal cmos low power 28-pin (JEDEC standard) 32K RAM will work.   Re: dual servos

There may be two separable issues in your experiment: 1. "twitching" when the control value isn't changing. this should not happen. 2. twitching because of flakiness in the pot reading. this would not surprise me at all. if the A to D reading on the (...) (...) You must manual consolidate the new driver with the smooth-pwm libraries.   Re: Tone Functions

yep, 5 kHz is about the top end of the HB's 6811 capability. going higher would require dedicating the 'hc11 to generating the tone and doing nothing else. why? interrupt routine overhead. takes a bunch of cycles to handle an interrupt. the tone (...)
