(1) the memory should last about a month if the board is turned off,
as several have noted.
(2) please be aware that the serial interface will *DRAIN POWER FROM THE
HB* if the interface itself is not plugged into power. thus do not
expect anywhere near a month -- a day might be more like it -- if you
are leaving the hb turned off but an unpowered interface plugged in.
