Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) 2003. By far and away. You have Mindstorms, LEGENDS, bulk bricks, MOC series, licenses, new colors... the list goes on. The past pales in comparison IMO. I really believe that the present is the golden age of LEGO. JOHN (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Train Wheel Friction?

(...) My modest LEGO train collection consists of one MOT kit, one Santa Fe Kit (full train, not starter), and one Metroliner kit. These are all sets with the "new" wheelsets. For the most part I think I lucked out with the MOT and Santa Fe. Both (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New MOC: X2000 - the Swedish high speed train

(...) I think it only depends on the inside: the wall itself will be highly fragile this way, but if you put enough bricks into the model and connect roof and base with center-stud plates, then it gets heavy but really sturdy. I think it is worth to spend a thought why people do rate some sets with extreme votes, but I think, once we have realized they do so, we can easily count it in. Any manipulation of (...)
