  Re: 2.5 New MOCs

The horse esthetic was only noticed after the model was complete, so I could have added a canopy with no qualms... but I hate canopies, I never feel I have the right pieces for them (too many years buying castle) (...)   Re: New TLC Mindstorms survey

(...) Well, I had to respond to the survey - how could I not!!! More ports and more sensor choices was my main message. I must say, having built numerous active sensors for RCX, I don't think I'd class the interface as hard to live with. Its cheap - (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: 2.5 New MOCs

Kevin, the Starhorse is cool, the use of dismembered hands is interesting. Did you try it with an enclosed canopy? I know that kind of kills the horse esthetic, but it might look epic. Either way it rocks. The mini moonbase thing is nice, although (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Lego WIndows Complaint (still)

The single biggest complaint I have about TLG is that unlike 40 years ago, today there is no "system" for windows. Yes they have 2x2 windows in white, 1x4x5 windows in black, and other sizes in other colors currently available. But there is no (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New Knight's Kingdom Prices

Re: The SPLTC Recreates the Old West

Tim, Thanks for the comments! When we decided to build a layout for this theme, it did mean that a lot of new building would have to be done. Changing the terrain to tan baseplates in most areas meant not using green roadplates since they wouldn't (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New Knight's Kingdom Prices

Before you go running off on tangents, let's get one thing straight, Lego was in the red in those years, not because of poor sales for Lego sets, but for poor sales in their other ventures, clothing, pens, etc. Now a different spin I would like to (...)   New Knight's Kingdom Prices

I hope I'm not the only one that is slightly disappointed with the new Knights Kingdom. Mostly it's because of the continuing trend by LEGO to make it nearly impossible to buy large quantities of minifigs. They did a nice job last time around by (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

There are enough obviously real Duplo pieces in there (horse, pot, 2*2 and 4*2 bricks, various plates, sloped bricks, ladder, ball) for me to think this is probably real, and as Mark pointed out the figs in the picture do compare well with the new (...)
