Re: ideas for building radar and communications gear for an airport/air traffic control/etc

(...) An airport builder, man after my own heart. What I've done for my airport 4.2, is put two radar dishes on the top roof of my tower, I built the roof SNOT style, with two Technic hole bricks, attached the radars to axles, put a gear at the (...) (18 years ago, 24-Feb-07, to lugnet.town)

3039 (Slope 45 degree 2x2) molds are wearing out

I've been meaning to post this for quite a while but have forgotten to. (URL) This post> reminded me. Regarding from the year 2006 that contain piece 3309, Slope 45 2 x 2 [LDrawPart 3039] The slope part of these bricks is supposed to be pretty (...) (18 years ago, 23-Feb-07, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) In case anyone is wondering about those bags of bulk, yes they are indeed several hundred bags of each. I purchased them when lego created the last run of light and dark gray bricks and plates. Steve Weiser (18 years ago, 23-Feb-07, to lugnet.general)

  Tunnel Mouth / Bridge Arch

The tracks from the Snowmobile 8272 and Bulldozer 8275 make a great tunnel mouth or bridge arch - smoother than using slope bricks. (URL) used 27 links at the moment, fixing them twice on each side. The arch as built fits well over 6-wide, 8-wide or (...) (...) -snip- (...) You raise many valid points. Building issues I had not considered before.   Re: New Brown Town Buildings (pics)

(...) Oh, yeah, you've done the same thing. I like it. It's a great effect. Now, I have interlocked the brown with my tan to keep the front face sturdy, but I don't see how you can make the headlight bricks any sturdier-- what more can they bind to (...)   S@H summer 2006 catalogue out

Well, I have to admit I found a few things to not be happy with about the new catalogue. Ignoring that we are getting hosed with the exchange rate, some of the unpleasant surprises are: -baseplates of all sorts are up in price. 626 green 32x32 is (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.loc.ca)

First numbered LEGO Idea Book - #238 (1960-68)

Someone asked about a 1960's LEGO Idea Booklet on Bricklink today, so I thought I would post it here as well...   Re: Old Dithered Colors

(...) I don't see the point in dithering any more either. It slows things down and was meant to simulate colours in the days before 24bit colour was ubiquitous. I would prefer you to just average the two colours (in RGB or CMY). Tim (18 years ago, 12-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: 10183 LEGO Hobby Trains on ILTCO

(...) That's my complaint. The part list shows a lot of common parts: if I need bricks, there are a lot of great 1000-parts-buckets, but if I want to build a train, I need doors, windows, wheels, large plates and roof parts in large quantities.
