I was looking at the emblem on the front of a Pontiac the other day and thought that it would look great as an insignia for castle armor or shields. Then it reminded me of the old Yellow Castle insignia (the Pontiac kept saying "remember the old (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

I've built and photographed some old and new MOCs and added them to my site. It feels odd building at 4 wide, but it can still be satisfying. I am planning to port NQCC to DOS to use an old Laptop I have to program my bots. My old laptop has an ancient 286 processor so I have trouble locating a proper compiler that can target it. They were used as masts in 314 and 315, two of the old ships-series. They were also used in the old Model-team: the Harley and the Norton (393 & 394) feature a few as axles, footrests and antenna. (...) I do like the classic minifigs, but I do like a lot of the new ones too. I'd love to see a re-issue of classic sets, but on the whole I'm pleased with the current line. (...) I dunno. They've got the legos, which would be more useful if they were movable, but still can be applied elsewhere. And the wings are pretty special-purpose, but they look cool anyway. :) What other specialized pieces are you referring to? (26 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) What other insectoids-specific parts? I think I've given you a comprehensive list. There's also the trans-yellow/green "eye" domes, but those seemed more generally useful than just insectoid, so I didn't count them. But even with those: three (...)
