Re: Change in LUGNET news appearance

(...) I take issue with this problem of scrolling too. The layout and usability on LUGNET newsgroups has been by far the best of all web-based forums. Although there now arises a need for ad-based support I would ask that the LUGNET admins try to (...) (17 years ago, 15-Dec-07, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

(...) Is Calum entering a 'bot? I thought in the general rtlToronto sense, that Calum was the pseudo leader for train events, whilst Chris was the head honcho for robotic events... <dissing> So why are we gearheads listening to Calum when it comes (...) This is my situation: 1 - I sign in with the "Sign in" button (and select "keep me logged in until I sign out manually") 2 - I click on "new post" (or "reply") 3 - It asks if I read the terms of use and if I have filled the news-posting setup (...)   Re: searching for something to tighten the fit of overused LEGO pieces

(...) Actually, cleaning is probably just removing oils (oil from people's fingers, and oils from manufacturing). I have noticed this fact than freshly cleaned LEGO holds tighter also, and suspect oil as the cause. I do know that new LEGO does have (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: 62 Bricks - What will you build with yours?

Well, we've had a few new folks register, but no new models submitted for a bit. Here are a couple suggestions to go about the challenge of building something with exactly 62 bricks: Count out any 62 bricks of the same color Count out 62 of the same (...)   Re: what makes a legend?

If the Shop At Home stuff is just for adults, then why don't they put out (...) (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Well, don't forget that I'm old enough to be using a Lego cane/walker in terms of AFOL average ages - lol! :^) I had access to all kinds of older systems when I was younger...Commodore 16/64/PET/Amiga, TSR 90 (?), Apple IIe, Coleco of course (...)   62 Bricks - What will you build with yours?

Try it out, then post your models to (URL) ! Current (...) (16 years ago, 15-Jul-08, to lugnet.announce, FTX) !

(...) Might be a 16bit/32bit problem (or similar 24/32bit), precisely 1GB (coded on 32 bits) could return 0 when truncated to 16 or 24 bits by old software. 3000MB truncated to 16 or 24 bits might be OK. Philo (17 years ago, 10-Dec-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

In lugnet.lego.direct, Brad Justus writes: Hi Brad (...) For starters, I think a lot of what makes a legend a legend depends on the age of the person being asked. I for one was born in '68, and started with LEGO when I was about 6-8 years old. For (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
