  Been Gone Too Long

It wasn't too long ago that LUGNET was my second home. But for the past couple years I've had other distractions that have kept me away.   Re: Plans vs imagination

I agree with Kevin and Silas. Back in the 60's (when I was a child), I remember getting the Junior Constructor set #717, for Christmas. The only instructions were on the inside of the box top. It was a 500 piece set, and there were only 3 pictures (...) (25 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: UPDATE: New locomotive pricing

(...) 25% is a far higher rate of VAT than you actually pay anywhere in Europe. Tax considerations do narrow the price difference, but there's still a difference. There's also the problem that the dollar is pretty weak compared to the Euro, so if (...) (20 years ago, 20-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.general) !

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Here is what I think of the new colors. Firstly, from a business standpoint: 1) The color change is baffling. In a time when the LEGO company is in finanial straits, and each business decision it makes becomes the more crucial, how could it possibly (...)
