Background:

This set came in one of my first used set purchases. I purchased $138 worth of
old sets from someone who was selling his collection on eBay (I personally e-
mailed him and he was willing to sell to me direct).

Set life span: 1985

FIGURES: Four. Pilot and three blue overall workers.

VEGETATION: None.

ANIMALS: None.

ACCSESORIES: None.

MODELS: There are four models.

Delivery van-This small van is another favourite car design of mine.
It is very small and very compact and reminds me of all those Daewoo, Kia,
Suzuki, Mitsubishi and Subaru vans you see running around in Japan and
American theme parks and zoos. The rear tailgate is a hinged 4x4 car roof in
blue with a small storage area in the back for the yellow 2x2 bricks which act
as packages.

Forklift-The forklift makes use of a now discontinued piece. The large
forklift assembley which can hold Yx2 bricks slid into it. Another very clever
design without any juniorized pieces. It also features classic red wheels!

Cargo jet-One of the smaller planes LEGO has produced, it is nice to
have a cargo plane for a change, instead of a passenger one. The interior is
all flat 2x2 and 1x2 tiles to hold packages, and there are two levels inside,
as well as blue jet engines!

Cargo centre-A very nice building indeed. It is built on top of 11 2x2x2
round "tables" with 2x4 bricks acting as stairs. The office features a classic
LEGO round dial telephone and computer, as well as a white chair. The
warehouse has a rare large white sliding door, a very cool piece indeed, and a
large skyroof made of 3x6 boat windows. This used to be a common practice, but
is now a rare sight on new sets.

OVERALL:  A very nice model. A 32x16 grey baseplate would have been a nice
little addition to the set (luckily, I had and extra one), but that is my only
complaint on this awesome classic.

--------------------JUST STUFF--------------------
COOL PIECES: 1x4x5 classic paned door (x1, white), 1x4x3 classic window (x2,
white w/ clear pane), 3x6 boat windshield (x2, clear), sliding cargo door (x1,
white), 1x8 sliding door track (x2, red), 2x2x2 round "tables" (x11, black),
classic red wheels (x4, red hubs), large forklift assembley (x1, black and
grey), large plane wings (x2, grey), hinged plane roof (x3, blue), large plane
tail (x1, blue with cargo design), plane engine (x2, blue with grey engine
part), plane tail (x1, grey), plane double-wheel axles (x3, grey), plane
wheels (x6, grey hubs)

DECALS: stripped design for small windows (x2), package symbol for van (x2),
package symbol for plane (x2), cargo symbol for building (x2)

FUN FACT: This is one very rare set. It was only sold in the US and only in
one year. 1985.

My views on CLASSIC TOWN as a theme:
By far the best sets ever made. Why not again LEGO? I love them. Everything
about them is just so wonderful. Detail, piece assortments, variety. Maybe it
will happen again one day.
