SMART meeting this Saturday, September 25, 2-5pm

I just got confirmation that we will be able to use the new Michelangelo auditorium in the *new* DigiPen facilities for our meetings this year, starting with this Saturday's meeting. The meeting starts at 2pm, and goes to 5pm. Please note the new (...) (14 years ago, 23-Sep-10, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: Q? 4512 Buffer (was: Re: Box Art for 2003 LEGO Train Products!)

(...) Another interesting one I noticed. Apparently in LEGOworld people are really tall. Notice the 11 1/3 M clearance label on the crane? I'm pretty sure the clearance is 11 bricks and one plate... So therefore, 1 brick height equals 1 M. Or maybe (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I see. So what you really want to do in LDView is ignore the Type 5 lines (at least for smoothing) and smooth wherever there's no Type 2 edge lines between the triangles (and quads). (...) Did anybody ever did actually fix the parts though? I (...) (14 years ago, 22-Sep-10, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Box Art for 2003 LEGO Train Products!

(...) How about an alternative available through Shop-At-Home that doesn't include the power supply and regulator? Or track even? 4511 looks good, though I think I might pass. Nice to see a Lego figure boarding a train with a valid ticket for once (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Aldershot Wants List

Here's another - a few technic bits. I'm not sure what they're called but I think of them as turnbuckles. They're the little light grey block that has an axle hole through one end and a round hole through the other, so the two cross at right angles. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Moonbase Corridor 2.0 ?

Re: Ideas for partbin group sorting

Hi Roland, (...) There is a reason. I tend to sort bricks by function (give or take) and slope bricks are rarely interchangeable with regular bricks. With multiple levels I'd probably favour Slopes -45 deg --1x --2x --other -33 deg --1x --2x --other (...) (13 years ago, 17-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Old pirate models

Ahoy! Sorting through some old stuff at home, I found some photos of models I'd built before I became active on LUGNET, and long before Port Brique was conceived.
