Hello! I surrender. I'm not convinced but i'm beaten. I, we have got to accept the greysome fact that TLC is not going to retract this colour change. Ever. They think they did the right thing. As several others have stated, I too appreciate your efforts to explain the color changes. This explanation goes a long way in convincing us there were no other, hidden reasons beyond esthetical design. It explains the rol of the Design Lab and the (...) (...) It depends on the wood. Wood comes in many different colors, so it's a bit hard to qualify one shade of brown as "woodlike" and another as "not woodlike". Heck, there's even a species of tree that has a distinct purple shade that fades over (...) (20 years ago, 9-May-04, to lugnet.color)

  LEGO, kids, and how it has come to this
 
Although the neighborhood knows there are a lot of LEGO bricks at our home and that big things go in and out from time time, we don't get a lot of walk-up traffic from curious kids. (...) I've seen two paths to accumulating new greys quickly: 1) Starter tubs 2) Releasing legends in the new colors Choice 2 works really well for castle. Hi I am looking for Fabuland sets/parts/instructions in any condition - what matters to me is the price. Broken and yellowed parts ok for my need. Does anyone have something for sale?   Opacity change - when?
 
Avoiding the debate over the color change, I want to bring up another issue. It is quite obvious to me that modern Lego pieces are much more translucent than the old ones. I might be speaking about ancient times which nobody cares about here, but (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.color)
