  Old idea or new idea?

While pondering the merits of various schemes for adding more I/O to the RCX, and having already built a few different schemes myself just to be able to test drive them, I was struck by the interesting possiblity of seriously extending the RCX my (...)   Re: Old pneumatic pistons

One very useful application for the old-style pneumatics I've thought of is a single-cylinder, double-acting compressor. Using a new double-acting cylinder, connect each hose to the centre input of an old-style pneumatic brick, and connect the (...) (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

Yes, I'm also interested what's with MODEL TEAM and BIG Technic model sets ??? But I have another question - HOW MANY CLASSIC 2X4 LEGO BRICKS WILL BE IN COMPLET 2001 LEGO COLLECTION ???   200 white 2x4's for 200 blue 2x4's?

I haven't done much trading so I don't know if this is a normal request. The 200 2x4's I have range from blue tub new to child hood old. The majority look fine but there are of course some discolored pieces. All are smoke free of course. There's (...) (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Yep, I agree. I actually don't but technic anymore just for the reason that these beam pieces are not LEGO enough. The main pieces they use are the L-shaped studless beam mentioned above. They also use way too many rods and those giant molded (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Sorry to follow myself up: Interesting notes abound on the fbtb scans Tim kindly did of the 2001 brochure. 1) The top of the new TIE is a 4x4 radar with printing. Then again, the AT-ST side panels are 4x4 dishes too. 2) There is indeed a black (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

Looks like cool new parts for '01: (URL) "landing pads/feet" for small pod just below the main ship. They look more complex than a simple 1x2 plate, and they don't appear to be click-hinge plates.
