  My Current Lego Room

I took some pictures of my Lego Room for the Virtual Lego Room Tour at Brickfest. (URL) an expansion and rethinking of my older Lego spaces, as described in (URL) walk around the room. . . ClosetMaid makes a system they call Cubicals with shelves (...) (15 years ago, 4-May-09, to lugnet.storage)

Re: cramming details into 6 studs

(...) That's a good option. I bet there are some SNOT methods also - in fact, how about a 1x2 clear brick on end, studs out. Cap it with a tile and attach it with to a 1x plate on the bottom (against the door). The 1x plate and the tile form the (...) (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Are you paying attention, LEGO?

Hi, I think that TLC faces problems in several fronts with respect to their sales and marketing in the future. 1)AFOLs vs Target Audience-By targetting the 12 and under group and designing sets based on what these groups may want Lego in turn is (...)   RE: bricks upside down

(...) I like stuff to be fixed, so just sliding in the parts isn't good enough for me. :) Upside down stuff is easiest to do in a wall that's at least 2 studs thick, in my experience. Here are some solutions that can be used in a 1 stud wide space (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: What TLG set "revolutionized" your building?

(...) I'd have to agree in part with John. Having PAB has been a big help (Along with the Great Wall of Bricks at the LEGO stores). Bricklink has also been a help with filling in missing parts, etc. But the biggest things to help kick my building up (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Wonderful vintage [Samsonite 1971] LEGO just arrived -- what a treat!

(SORRY, NO PHOTOS AT THIS TIME!) I just received a box of vintage LEGO which I purchased on eBay. It is set 120, the Samsonite Gift Set from ca. 1971. Some great pieces in it, and the box is to die for! Before I continue, I should point out a few (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.year.1971, lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Half-Stud Offset Building

This feels like a kind of dark side (painting or cutting bricks) but I've just crossed over to using half-stud offset techniques. Are there other ways to do this without 1x2 center-stud tiles? Some have used them to create half-stud setbacks or (...) (23 years ago, 7-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

  RE: External Power Port Problem..?

Try a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) fuse for current limiting. They are available world wide through Digi-key, and I suspect Radio Shack will have a limited selection.
