Re: If TLG was going to cease production of any 5 pieces which ones should they be?

<snip> (...) Shiri, This makes perfect sense and I know what you mean. In all my other MOCs including the City Wall I have not even considered using that piece. I just think we have to get away from calling it a "tower" piece just because that is (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) That's one of the more prominent. Others could include discouraging newcomers to the hobby, painting Lego enthusiasts to the general public in a bad light, etc. But since we're intrinsically linked to the Lego Company (there are no other (...)   Re: www.legoworldshop.com closed

I think it will be temporary and there is going to be a totally new online shop later. I don't know what TLC plans but the new Speed Slammer Sets (Technic #8236-8238 I think) do have the following on the back of their instructions (European (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

A Tweak to the Lego Legends Idea - Inovation

Greetings All ! I believe the new Legends line is only scratching the surface when it comes to all around potential for bringing back the 'good ole days'.   Re: Technic's only in a coma (WAS Re: Technic's Dead )

Just my comments on Technic, and Lego in general... Most of us know that Lego is a company, and it does rely on a lot of market research, and it's important to realize that while we are a market segment, we are not the biggest market segment.   BricksWest2K2: Expo Coordinator's Report

Wow! Just wrapped up some LEGO contracts and it's nice to see the excitement still reverberating in posts. BricksWest was a wonderful show. Stepping up to support as Expo Coordinator was rewarding.   Re: Handling "Kid play areas" on layouts

Just a follow up to the results of the Kids area at the recent NGLTC show. First of all it worked great, these kids were climbing over each other to play. So next show the table will have to be twice as big. For this show I had a 3'x6' table, 2' (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Fwd from a builder: Colors don't match, among other things!

I think it's fine if LEGO wants to ADD more colors to their spectrum, but REPLACING colors is a bad idea; especially staple colors like light and dark gray. Those 2 colors are heavily used by everyone--space, town, castle--we all need gray. I'm (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Technic's Dead (was: I need Technic)

In my mind it is easy to see where lego went wrong on terms of technic. A change in the technic line may have been needed to evolve a little after 1997 but they went the wrong direction. Instead of modles becoming more complex, larger, better (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)
