Since there are people talking on other LEGO fan sites forums about monorail. It is a very “unlikely” chance a monorail system will be made. I can’t speak for LEGO, however LEGO knows people would like to see a monorail set. If there is a new monorail system it would be a whole new system, and the cost could be more than $100USD price point.

There is a lot of history and reasons why the old Monorail system will not be made. From the motors, tracks, machines, molds, third party suppliers no longer in business etc. This is been going on for a long time as far back as BrickFest 2001 when Brad Justus was working for LEGO, and answered the question regarding to the LEGO Monorail system.
